Taylor and I went for a visit in the newsroom this morning. I introduced him to my morning show coworkers and gave him a tour of the set. He met Laura, one of the anchors, and was quite smitten… We also practiced his on-camera skills. He checked out the anchor desk and even took a shot at the weather forecast, showing some heavy snow in Tahoe this week. While we were in Utah for Christmas break we blessed Taylor in my family’s ward. It was such a sweet experience to be surrounded by family and to have both our dad’s and our brothers and brothers-in-law in the circle. Even Taylor’s great-grandpa Goff was able to be in the circle. He’s certainly loved. After church everyone came to our house for soup and salad, and Taylor got a chance to hang out with some of his cousins.
Every year when December rolls around I fall into the same trap: I always forget to do my Christmas shopping until December 1st, schedule way too many parties and events on the weekends, scramble to make Christmas treats and get the decorations up…and before I know it, it’s Christmas. So it’s been a long time since I wrote anything noteworthy on here, but it has come to my attention that some people are still interested in what we Whites are up to in California.
